Reporting to the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer, the Assistant Executive Director (AED)/Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overall management and oversight of terminal and warehouse operations, vessel operations, and maintenance of the Port’s mobile equipment. The AED/COO will direct all Port facility activities in a safe, secure, efficient, professional and environmentally sound manner. In addition, the selected candidate will oversee security activities, including compliance with all federal and state regulations. The AED/COO maintains contact with Port tenants, users, stakeholders, local communities and government agencies to address concerns and implement plans for improvements to Port facilities.
The selected candidate will create an atmosphere and unified culture of leadership, innovation, and empowerment among the staff.
